Introducing the Yarmouth and Day 16 of my summer

Platinum Yarmouth Twist Pen made in Paua Abalone Shell - Dailey Woodworking

Platinum with black titanium Yarmouth Twist Pen made in Paua Abalone Shell

Introducing the Yarmouth Twist Pen

Today I would like to introduce you to a new pen. Our new pen is the Yarmouth twist pen. This pen has a smooth operating twist mechanism and takes a Parker™ style refill. The pens will be available in platinum with black titanium accents or platinum with gold titanium accents.

The pen that you see pictured above is platinum with black titanium accents and the center section was turned from strips of Paua Abalone shell and polyester resin. The pictures can’t do this pen justice. The Paua Abalone shell is just magnificent and the depth of colors is truly outstanding.

Normally this is where I would tell you where to go to see more pictures and get more information but I don’t have this up on either site yet. That will have to wait until tomorrow. Not only that but I have another pen to show you tomorrow that will rival this one.  Stay tuned.

Greetings! This is my first comment here so I just wanted to give a quick shout out and tell you I really enjoy reading through your blog posts. Can you recommend any other blogs/websites/forums that cover the same topics? Appreciate it!

      Sure Deedee,
American Association of Woodturners has a very good forum but I think you have to be a member (I highly recommend joining) http://www.woodturner.org/?page=AAWMemberForum

Sam Angelo is another turner with a lot of interesting how-to videos on his Youtube channel. http://wyomingwoodturner.com/

Carl Jacobson is another turner with a lot of interesting how-to videos on his site too. http://thewoodshop.tv/

There are a lot more out there but those should give you a good start.

      Good luck,
      Kim
