The New Boss
We have a new Boss here at Dailey Woodworking. Our new Boss laser, that is. The laser came in on November 24th and it took six of us to get it out of the back of the moving van and into our house. It is a beast and weighs over 500 lbs. The laser is a Boss LS1630 which gives me close to a 16 inch by 30 inch working area and is 105 watt.

In order to get the laser into our house we had to remove the bottom section of the laser and then tip it onto its back. We also had to remove a section of our sliding glass door to get it into our house and also the door and casing to get the laser into the office. Then we could tip it back onto the bottom section and bolt it all back together.
I’m just now getting to finish the setup and learning to use the machine and the new software. We have also been painting the walls of the office that the new laser is in. I suppose it could have been time, it has only been 25 years since we last painted the walls in our house.
